Emily joined AbleChildAfrica as Fundraising and Communications Executive in August 2017. She graduated from University College London in the same year and while at University she acted as Volunteering Coordinator for UCLU Music society, a role in which she stewarded groups of volunteers at different fundraising events.
Emily has worked as support to students with disabilities accessing education since 2013 and has developed a passion for breaking down barriers which people with disabilities continually face in learning environments. In her gap year, she also worked as a Music and Performing Arts Technician in a Secondary School, encouraging young people to step into the spotlight at musical productions and recitals. She is passionate about social equality, as well as animal rights, and in her spare time enjoys classical singing, fitness and seeing family and friends.
