Sharing our Expertise
AbleChildAfrica is the leading UK based NGO focused exclusively on childhood disability in Africa. We have over 30 years’ experience working with children and young people in the region. We leverage the experience and expertise of ourselves and our partners to support other children’s organsiations to mainstream disability across their existing or future programmes. In this way we can have a greater impact on the millions of disabled children in the world than we can reach alone.
AbleChildAfrica currently offers training in two key areas, childhood disability mainstreaming and inclusive child participation. Each programme is designed to meet organisations specific needs and interests.
Childhood Disability Mainstreaming
Day 1: Understating Disability
Day 2: Learning from AbleChildAfrica’s experience, in partnership with local partner if in-country
Day 3: Developing a plan for mainstreaming disability
Please contact us if you are interested in developing a bespoke training package for your organisation’s specific need.

The session on definitions of disability was very interesting. I got to understand the social model because as humans we always define disability in traditional and medical models.
