Shikuku Obosi (Kenya)

Shikuku is a social development practitioner and social policy advocate, with extensive management, governance, capacity strengthening, policy analysis, advocacy and partnership building experience. He has worked at a senior level for top international non-governmental disability and development organisations for over 14 years, most recently as Africa Regional Coordinator for Inclusion International. Prior to moving to reputable disability and other civil society organisations such as ADD International and Leonard Cheshire Disability, Shikuku spent six years in child rights work in Kenya and later volunteered for two years in the disability rights sector for VSO in India.
Shikuku has transformed himself into a much sought after consultant and has advised different national and international agencies on disability inclusion. He brings a local and global perspective to his work and personal relationships and he has managed to transform his early life experience as a child with a disability in rural Kenya into professional ambitions to change the lot of poor and marginalised people more generally.
